Market Produce for Dec 12

One of the oldest known fruits, found in writings and artifacts of many cultures and religions, the pomegranate (punica granatum) is an original native of Persia. This nutrient dense, antioxidant rich fruit has been revered as a symbol of health, fertility and eternal life.
Here is what to expect at the market this week:
  • Bananas (South America and Organic)
  • Carrots (BC and Organic)
  • Kabocha squash (BC)
  • Fuji Apples (BC)
  • Red Anjou Pears (BC)
  • Yellow Onions (BC)
  • White Nugget Potatoes (BC)
  • Navel Oranges(California)
  • Savoy Cabbage (BC)
  • Kale (California)
  • Purple Top Turnips (BC)
  • Sweet Potatoes (California)
  • Pomegranates
