A sweet recipe from our food market participant Mrs. Lowe
350g of sesame seeds (roasted), black or white sesame, or mix
240g brown sugar cane, 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon vinegar
Step 1: Place the sugar, water and vinegar in a pot.
Step 2: Caramelize over medium heat. Stir. The sugar is ready when it forms a solid bead in a bowl of cold water. Turn off heat.
Step 3: Stir in sesame seeds. Mix well.
Step 4: Pour the mixture on a cookie sheet. Flatten it with a rolling pin.
Step 5: Cut candy into strips when it is still warm. Let cool and serve.
