Mobile Market Summer Food Swap

The summer season means a lot of us are planting and growing our own fruits and veggies. It also makes it the perfect opportunity to swap produce with fellow mobile market go-ers!

Come and join us at the mobile markets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month and exchange your homegrown produce with your neighbours or even us. This event will only run from now until September, so make sure to spread the word and bring a friend!

In addition, we’ll have a selection hyper-local goodies from Fresh Roots Urban Farm. Fresh Roots’ produce is grown in schoolyards right here in Vancouver (Van Tech and David Thompson Secondary Schools, to be exact). That means the footprint of this produce is much smaller than conventional as it travels less than 10km to get to our markets. You can taste the difference in their food!

So make sure to head down to this Saturday’s mobile market locations to stock up. We will be at Brant Villa from 10:30am to 12:30pm and Kensington Community Center from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Take a look at our mobile market locations for more info on how to find us.

See you this weekend!
