As a part of this months Copley Orchard work party, Cedar Cottage Food Network is facilitating a workshop on simple and effective weeding and watering techniques.
We will do some sheet mulching, make a mulch pit to help the trees conserve water in the summer months and learn to identify some common ‘invasive’, medicinal and edible weeds.
Details: June 9th, 10:30am-12:00pm at Copley Orchard – map here
Note: The work party runs from 10:00- 2:00pm with a break for a potluck lunch at 1pm. You are more than welcome to come for the whole duration and get to know the community of gardeners who take care of the orchard.
Come prepared to do some hands on work, bring water and dress for the weather!
