Chickens and bees and mushrooms, oh my! If you’ve ever considered including these beneficial additions in your garden but don’t know where to start, this is the workshop for you.
Join the Cedar Cottage Food Network and the Vancouver Public Library – Kensington branch for this introductory workshop, the last of our Seedy Saturday workshop series for 2015, on November 21st from 11am-1pm.
Instructor Kim Del Valle Garcia has many years of experience with farming and permaculture. She has chickens and bees at home, and is familiar with bioremediation techniques, which involve mushrooms. She will discuss her experiences with these three garden helpers, explaining the benefits and challenges that she has faced.
The Kensington-Cedar Cottage Seed Sharing Library will be open at the event, if you would like to take home some seeds or donate ones you have saved.
The workshop is free but space is limited so please register at kccspecialty.eventbrite.ca. See you there!
