Grow food in your neighbourhood!

Knight_DSC_2587_bigGrowing your own food is a great way to get involved in your community, have greater access to healthy fruits and vegetables, and stay active. Good news for those in the Kensington-Cedar Cottage neighbourhood: there are garden plots available at Kingcrest Community Garden for the 2016 growing season!

The garden has 35 lower plots and 3 accessible beds (great for those in wheelchairs or with mobility issues). Located in Kingcrest Park at Knight and King Edward, the garden is easily reached by bus or bike. Join us in our second year of growing for what promises to be a great season!

Kingcrest Community Garden members have the added benefit of being able to attend Seedy Saturday workshops and get free seeds from the Seed Sharing Library at the Kensington branch of the Vancouver Public Library across the street.

To find out more or to reserve your plot for the year, e-mail kingcrestgarden[at]gmail[dot]com.
