This event takes place on unceded and occupied Coast Salish territory, specifically that of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and mi ce:p kʷətxʷiləm (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

In celebration of Wild Salmon and Indigenous Food Sovereignty come join the Cedar Cottage Food Network in creating a medicine wheel garden in Trout Lake Park. This garden will provide space for our urban communities to access traditional medicine plants of the Coast Salish Peoples, while also creating a space of sanctuary and healing. On Sept 24 we will be working together to build the garden, plant the medicines and celebrate the healing powers of the elements.

This event will include a potluck, so please feel free to bring a dish to share!!

Accessibility notes: The Trout Lake Community Centre is within a short walking distance and includes wheel chair accessible and gender neutral washrooms. All pathways are wheel chair accessible and terrain is level. There will be some heavy lifting and tough work, but all bodies are welcome to participate in any way they can.
