Interested in seed security in your community? Want to learn how to save seeds and join in a growing community of people wanting to share their knowledge, their passions, and their seeds? The Cedar Cottage Food Network, in partnership with the Vancouver Public Library – Kensington branch has teamed up for the second season of our seed saving group in Cedar Cottage.
At our fourth seed savers meet-up, we’ll pick some tomatoes at our Kingscrest Garden plot and use the fermentation method for saving seeds. We’ll also discuss watering methods and drought gardening techniques. This also functions as an ongoing seed swap so bring your extra seeds and seedlings to share with the community.
No previous experience needed, and no garden needed!
**This is a monthly series, stay tuned for info on these upcoming meet-ups. All will be at Kensington Library from 11am-1pm:
September 15th
October 20th
November 17th
