We have Butternut Squash at the market this week! Enjoy as a sweet and tasty soup or as a roasted side this week! Don’t forget that the seeds are edible too, a quick toast in the oven will make them crispy. Add olive oil and your favorite seasoning. Mine is chili powder.

Here’s what to expect at the market:

  • Bananas (Guat/ Ecu / Mex & Organic)
  • Apples Honey Crisp (BC)
  • Oranges Navel (Calif)
  • Avocadoes Hass (Mex)
  • Beets (BC)
  • Butternut Squash (BC)
  • Cucumbers (BC)
  • Yellow Onions (Wash)
  • Carrots (CA/WA)
  • Bok Choy (Calif)

Come on down to this Saturday’s Community Food Market locations to stock up on fresh fruits and veggies! We will be at Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House from 10:00am to 11:00 am, and Kensington Community Centre from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Take a look at our Community Food Market locations for more info on how to find us.

See you this Saturday!
