The CCFN is looking for individuals passionate about urban agriculture, food security, community-building and how all that intersects with social justice to volunteer with us.
Community Garden Liaison
This volunteer position is perfect for anyone interested in gardening, growing food, and helping to grow food security in our neighbourhood. This would be a perfect fit for either an experienced gardener or a newbie who is looking to collaborate and grow food. Benefits include access to growing space, seeds, and fresh veggies! Volunteer duties include regular watering, planting, harvesting vegetables for our Community Markets. Approx. 2-3 hours a week, could be less or more too, depending on the volunteer.
Garden Meet-up Leader
We are looking for a more experienced gardener to lead a weekly Meet-Up at a community garden. Meet other gardeners in the community, talk veggies, and help grow community! Approx. 1.5 hours on a weekday evening.
