This Wednesday we are at Cedar Cottage Neighborhood House! We will have Organic Swiss Chard. Swiss Chard is related to beets and spinach! Swiss Chard can be eaten raw but is more tender when cooked. When preparing it for sauteing, cook the stalks first as they are tougher than the leaves. This provides more cooking time allowing for them to soften. Check out this recipe for a little inspiration 🙂
Here’s what to expect at the market:
- Honey Crisp Apples (BC)
- Organic Swiss Chard (CA/MX)
- Organic Celery (CA/MX)
